Outcall Massage Policies
Space Requirements
Clients are responsible for providing an adequate space for the massage, with enough room for a massage table and for the therapist to work comfortably: approximately 11.5 x 7 feet. The client is expected to ensure the space is clear, clean, private, and safe for the session to proceed.
Outdoor space may be considered if the area is shaded - weather permitting.
If the space is not appropriate for the service, the therapist reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the appointment, and the client will be charged in full for the service.
Equipment
A massage table, linens, speaker, and other necessary equipment will be provided.
Additional Time (Set-Up & Clean-Up)
30 minutes of additional appointment time is needed to account for equipment set-up, clean-up, treatment planning, and review.
Set-Up: This includes bringing in and setting up the massage table, linens, and any other necessary equipment. The therapist will arrive at the scheduled appointment start time to begin this process.
Clean-Up: After the massage session concludes, the therapist will need time to disinfect and pack up all equipment and leave the space as they found it.
For example, if a client books a 90-minute massage session, they should plan for a total of 120 minutes of dedicated time at their location.
Time Constraints
If the client is unable to accommodate the full 30 minutes of additional time (e.g., they have a hard stop right after the scheduled massage end time), they are to inform the therapist when booking or as soon as possible.
In such cases, the massage session will be adjusted to conclude early, ensuring that set-up and clean-up can be completed within the available time frame. This allows the therapist to respect schedule needs while still providing necessary service elements.
Travel Fee Base Rate
A standard base-rate fee of $60 is included in all outcall services, as reflected by the service prices in the Mobile Services menu. This fee helps cover the additional time and costs associated with travel to and from the outcall location, as well as the necessary set-up and clean-up of equipment before and after the massage session.
Location-Based Travel Surcharge (if applicable)
Depending on the location and appointment time, an additional travel surcharge may apply, typically ranging from $15-50. This fee is calculated based on the distance from Heather’s Sunset Valley office; locations within 5 miles are usually exempt.
Any applicable location-based travel surcharge will be calculated and clearly communicated to the client via email within 36 hours of booking. Heather will ensure the client is fully aware of the total cost before their session.
Booking & Cancellation Policies
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. The client will be charged 100% of the service cost if they fail to do so.
Rescheduling existing appointments must be done at least 24 hours prior to the originally scheduled appointment, otherwise it is considered a cancellation and is subject to the policy above.
Reductions in session time (e.g. from 90 minutes to 60 minutes) must also be made at least 24 hours prior to the session, or the client will be charged in full for the originally booked session length.
Late Arrivals/No Shows: If the client is not present on the premises at the scheduled appointment start-time, the session will be forfeited and full payment is required.
Environment & Conduct
To maximize relaxation and the effectiveness of the treatment, clients are asked to do their best to help create a quiet and calm environment during the session. This includes:
Minimizing Distractions: Muting/turning off electronic devices, such as phones and televisions, or keeping their volume very low.
Managing Interruptions: Arranging for children, pets, or other household members to be cared for or occupied in a separate area for the duration of the appointment.
Adjusting Temperature & Lighting: If adjustments to elements like temperature and lighting are to be made, this should be done before the start-time of the appointment.
Controlling all external factors can be challenging, especially when other people are present on the premises. All efforts in making requests or arrangements that will allow for the most peaceful and uninterrupted environment possible for the session are appreciated.
Health & Safety Considerations
For client and therapist safety, clients are to inform the therapist of any contagious conditions or concerns before the appointment. If the client or anyone in the household is experiencing symptoms of illness, the client must reschedule the appointment.
It is kindly requested that no smoking occurs in the room where the massage will take place for at least an hour before and during the session.
Inappropriate Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
Heather is committed to maintaining a respectful and professional environment for both clients and herself. Any inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to sexual advances, harassment, or disrespectful language, will not be tolerated.
Such behavior will result in the immediate termination of services and the full service cost will be charged.
In some cases, official reports to law enforcement will be made.
